These Wicked Rivers release new video for ‘The Family’

These Wicked Rivers release new video for ‘The Family’, new album ‘Force Of Nature‘ out now on Fat Earth Records ENTERS UK CHARTS AT #36

British rock’s most inspirational new figures” – Kerrang – 4/5
“Force Of Nature couldn’t be more aptly titled” – Classic Rock Magazine

With their latest album ‘Force of Nature’ soaring to an impressive #36 in the Official UK Top 40 Midweek Charts, These Wicked Rivers are defying the odds without major label support. Their heartfelt new video for ‘The Family’ is a tribute to their loyal fanbase and supporters, capturing the essence of their journey so far.

Frontman John Hartwell expresses gratitude, stating, “‘The Family’ is a deep acknowledgment of those who have propelled us forward – our devoted These Wicked Rivers family and fans worldwide. The music video is a jubilant celebration of our collective journey.”

Lead guitarist Arran Day adds:
“In a dark and cruel world we feel very honoured to provide an escape through music for our loyal followers. The chorus of this song reflects everything this band is about, and the video captures the spirit of our special relationship with the Rivers family perfectly.  We filmed it at our inaugural ‘Family Gathering’, a celebration of the spirit of this band and we’re delighted to finally share it with the world now”.

As anticipation builds for their sold-out album celebration show in Matlock Bath later this month, and ticket sales surge for their upcoming UK tour, These Wicked Rivers are poised to dominate 2024. The overwhelming response to ‘Force Of Nature’ sets a promising tone for their trajectory.

Described by Classic Rock Magazine as “The sound of what might’ve happened if Clutch got a bit stoned with Audioslave and Zakk Wylde – and then jammed late into the night”the band blend subtle blues touches with a hard rock edge, adding soulful vocals to create a sound that is as dramatic as it is exhilarating.

The group garnered widespread acclaim with their debut EP ‘The Enemy’ in 2015, followed by the equally impressive ‘II’ in 2017, which solidified their presence in the burgeoning UK rock scene and earned them airplay on Planet Rock radio. Their debut album ‘Eden’, released in May 2020, further elevated their reputation with heightened critical acclaim. With their latest release ‘Force of Nature’, they’ve once again set a new standard, demonstrating their ongoing evolution and musical prowess.

Preaching a simple gospel of ‘peace, love and lampshades’– a nod to their intimate stage setup – the band has captivated audiences across the UK, sharing stages with renowned acts like Hayseed Dixie, Those Damn Crows, and Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons. Now signed to Fat Earth Records, they’re primed to make their mark globally, with a European tour slated for April and a Planet Rock-sponsored UK tour in May/June.

“This increasingly magnificent band could indeed have been spirited to us from 1975 – ‘Shine On’ is achingly, wonderfully good, and when singer John Hartwell announces that ‘Don’t Pray For Me’, one of these jaw-droppingly personal, stand-and-stare songs, will be the last track, there’s a sense of disbelief that it’s already over” – Planet Rock live review
