Welcome back Phoenix, Arizona based thrash metallers Flotsam And Jetsam as they release a brand new single ‘I Am The Weapon’, which is also the same title of a forthcoming 2024 studio album. Time goes so fast as I can remember buying their debut album Doomsday For The Deceiver in 1986, and was the first album ever to be awarded 6 KKKKKK’s by Kerrang magazine.
An old saying of “Music keeps us young at heart” is proven by some of the fastests speeds they fire out mainly from the completely overwhelming cavalcade of kick drumming that’s truly mindblowing. Riffs and solos fly off the guitar necks with ferocious vigour, but the icing on the cake is the vocals of “Eric A.K” Knutson who turns the clock back with lungbusting shrieks. This highly impressive single ends with a full on band delivered outro, then the silence is deafening!
