Summary:

'One Man Band', latest single released by The Milk Men is a first class delivery taken from their forthcoming studio album, Holy Cow!

It’s been a few years since I’ve seen The Milk Men, a gig at The Nantwich Jazz Festival I think, so it’s a very nice surprise to hear their new single ‘One Man Band’, taken from Holy Cow!, a brand new studio album, their fifth, released on May 3rd, 2024.

If a song could be summed up like the old saying of, “Drive It Like You Stole It”, this is a good contender. It’s an anthem to end all anthems courtesy of an infectious main riff, a raunchy lead vocal, grittily thrown out with 100% conviction, highlighting life on the road. A midway, precisely picked guitar solo adds muscle to to the songs title sung mantra style, that demands to be sung along to.

“I’m a one man band, that’s the way I choose to roll. I’m a one man band, from my head down to my soul. Raise your hands, raise your hands for the one man band. Better raise your hands for the one man band”.

Lead singer Jamie Smy proclaims, “I see this album as having number of core themes which could all be bracketed under ‘The Blues’, in terms of subject matter, if not musically.

Keep an eye out for an extensive 2024 UK tour from March – December 2024 as they are renowned for their electrifying performances and innovative R&B take on the Blues-Rock sound.
