Summary:

Fahran return with a bang from new single Hate Me, taken from forthcoming album The Hope That Killed Me on October 10th, 2024.

Welcome back Fahran, as they return after a five year hiatus with a brand new single ‘Hate Me’, that seems longer since I reviewed their last studio album V-A-P-O-U-R-S in 2019.

Thankfully, the Nottingham based five piece have lost none of their edge, point proven by the single, taken from forthcoming studio album, The Hope That Killed Me, due for release on October 10th, 2024. Four minutes of a piss and vinegar rant dispelled any worries as they crush as if it were only yesterday. A lungbusting lead vocal from Matt Black paves the way for his put up or shut up lyrics around a riff heavy axe attack, seismic bass guitar bludgeon and a speaker rattling drum onslaught. A vehement chorus of “So watch me holding on, I lost so long ago. The final act is coming. I lost my mind, in poisoned sight. The mirror’s screaming hate me like you mean it!” adds to the fury!

Matt proclaims, “Hate Me” embodies our signature sound while hinting at the darker, heavier direction we’ve naturally evolved towards. Packed with a main riff, haunting verses, a catchy chorus and intense vocals, leading into a gripping breakdown and a satisfying outro solo. It’s sure to tantalize Fahran fans appetites, with more excitement on the horizon”.
