Black Coast-Motion-Single Review-Planetmosh

Stoke based noisemongers Black Coast, close a very successful 2024 with a local gig tonight at the Underground in Stoke, 21/12/2024 so get your tickets now as five bands will be whipping up a storm by promoting their latest single ‘Motion’. It’s one of their most visceral releases, point proven by a furious intro of grating riffs, earthshaking pounds that come down a notch or two for almost spoken word verses that are decimated by choruses that should have a government health warning, such is their power and precision.

Over the years they have steadfastly amassed an impressive recorded back catalogue and a constant touring ethic resulted in a prestigious slot on the Sophie Lancaster Stage at Bloodstock Open Air Festival.

The Underground gig consists of five bands :- Altara, Airtight, Smother, Mercury and Black Coast are the headliners.

Lead vocalist Charlie Hewitt adds, “Motion is a cathartic externalisation of internal pressures. It’s about my own struggles with feeling like I can never slow down. There’s this constant pressure to keep going and I find it hard to just stop and let go, mentally and physically”.
