Traction are definitely the main attraction, point proven by brand new single “Boom”,and certainly lives up to it’s title with ease. It’s definitely one for the headbangers,as the Wildhearts once said,“Riff after riff, after motherf**king riff!”. A broken glass chewed lead vocal ignites the song, especially in the choruses which must be sung back mandatory. Every cliche in the book is here which is no bad thing as heavy metal isn’t rocket science eh? It’s got to be blasted out loud and proud with enough power to blow your speakers! A midway guitar extravaganza will have the air guitarists frothing at the mouth to lose their minds to, all smashed out in five minutes of metal meltdown.

Traction band biography :- Traction began in 2022 as an idea without a name in the minds of James Gould and Dan Stretton, their creative frustration as a result of passing riff ideas and lyrical notes back and forth between gigs led to them to brainstorm a band name and seek people who would share this vision.
Enter Sam Jones, fresh from university Sam would enter into the band as drummer and creator of a heavy hitting backline.
Over the coming months we released our first album ‘Highway man’. As much as we enjoyed the process, we felt as though there was something missing and that we was going in the wrong direction.
In came Tim Raybould as twin lead guitar player.
This gave the band a new twist and avenues that wasn’t available before and with that the band has been working hard to record a second album to show off the new sound of Traction.
Traction is a Midlands based band that takes its influences from a myriad of artists including Mr Big, The Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, Rose Tattoo, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy to name only a few.
When the lads aren’t in the studio or on stage, they are also touring round the UK and Europe in the AC/DC tribute band Dirty/DC of which they are all members.
