Negatives unleash break taking new video

Highly-rated UK metal crew, NEGATIVES, have released their brand new single and video, Mimic, out now – https://youtu.be/AhFRWlER2WU .

Since their creation in 2020, NEGATIVES have not only survived but progressed through multiple obstacles that would have severed most bands. Comprised of Benjamin Michael Smith (Vocals), Andrew Sparham (Guitar), Sam Wingrove (Guitar), Aidan Matthews (Bass), and Alex Watson (Drums), NEGATIVES hurl out a vicious blend of contemporary metal that draws from Slipknot and Spiritbox, through to Lamb of God and Machine Head. The Newcastle quintet are a calling for metal fans who enjoy aggressive vocals, driving riffs and groove-infused drums.

To date, the Brit metallers have released four singles, and in doing so, have racked up support from BBC Radio One, as well as throughout the UK underground. The Northern riff slingers’ live show is also attracting strong interest as NEGATIVES take great care in creating a cinematic and atmospheric backdrop to their performances through use of thematical visuals and dynamic lighting. This attention to detail has not gone unnoticed and it’s only a matter of time before it drives NEGATIVES to a national level.

The band continue with their climb, stocked up with their new single, Mimic, a belting track that’s indicative of NEGATIVES in its unabashedly raw and forceful, highly emotive, and captivatingly cinematic nature. Vocalist Benjamin Michael Smith remarks: ‘’Exploring the effects anxiety disorders have on the body and mind, as well as drawing from my own personal experience, ‘Mimic’ is an aggressive and frantic track which provided a tremendous amount of catharsis right the way through the writing, recording and release.’’

With further releases on the horizon, alongside a wide touring assault, 2023 will be extremely productive for these metal upstarts.
