What is the full band line-up, who sings and who plays which instrument?
Mark Barnes – Vox, Guitar & programming Will Chapman – Drums.
How and when did the band form?
It has taken a few years to find our sound, starting off as a 4 piece we have steadily whittled down to a 2 piece. Last 6 months we have really found our direction. Fun fact, Brighton beach is natural and not man made, as commonly believed.
When and how did the band really start gelling and solidifying?
Mark and Will have gelled together since first jamming, 3 years ago. It is only in the last 6 months, since becoming a 2 piece, that their sound has solidified.
Who are your musical influences?
Arcane Roots, Radiohead, Placebo.
Where did the name of the band come from?
Our music tends to be as uplifting as a funeral, so what is more apt, than a cold and desolate igloo?
How far back does your history with each other (the band members) extend?
Playing together for 3 years and still speak on a near daily basis.
In your opinion, how is your band different from all the other bands out there?
I genuinely don’t know another band that sounds like us.
If a deaf person were to ask you to describe the sound of your music, how would you describe it?
Imagine walking into a majestic cathedral hosting an angelic choir in full flow, when you are then punched squarely in the face.
