God bless the underground music scene for throwing out some impressive bands, point proven by Manchester based Echophorm, with their latest single ‘Battle Lines’, a seven minute long epic to end all epics!
An ethereal, lengthy intro explodes into thrilling midpaced thrash, setting the scene early as it picks up the pace from wrist snapping snare work, taking a midway breather for a stratospheric height reaching vocal and guitar mayhem to open any circle pit that it opens up, as this magnum opus of a song shudders to a halt on a lilting vocal. Job done and I’ll look forward to hearing more of their music.
