Damnation Festival add four new bands to the bill

Italian doom trio Ufomammut are the latest addition to this year’s stacked Damnation Festival line up.

They’ll play the Eyesore Merch Stage at Leeds University Union on Saturday, November 5.

Also joining the bill are a selection of some of Europe’s best emerging bands; France’s post-metal sludge outfit, Erlen Myer, Norway’s blackened hardcore quintet, Attan (who will make their debut UK appearance), and England’s newest doom heroes, Conjurer.

Ufomammut said: “We’re very excited to be a part of Damnation festival this coming November.

“Looking forward to be there to play Ecate for the last time and share stage with a lot of cool bands!”

A suitable replacement for Nails – who broke up without warning or an explanation last week – is in the works.

Announced so far are: Electric Wizard, Abbath, Cult of Luna & Julie Christmas, Enslaved, Ufomammut, Akercocke, Black Tusk, Bossk, Ne Obliviscaris, Oceans of Slumber, Erlen Myer and Conjurer.

Tickets, priced just £38, are on sale now via the website and Facebook.
