From the recently released single ‘You Only Love Me When You’re Drunk’, Beth Blade And The Beautiful Disasters show off their serious side in the blink of an eye with new single, the harrowing ‘Damage’.
It’s not for the faint hearted as the lead vocals from Beth Blade is skin shivering, highlighting abuse with agonising howls and almost spoken word pieces to hammer the point home in four minutes of vitriol.
Beth adds :-
“For those of us who have been manipulated, gaslit and abused we know how hard it is to live with, not just whilst it’s happening, but for the rest of our lives. We often become the problem in our own minds because when someone tells you how awful you are on a daily basis you can start to believe it and then it’s even harder to unlearn it.“
‘Damage’ is about the journey from experiencing the worst of the worst, being at rock bottom but trying to learn how to love yourself again. Believing that there is beauty in being broken, that the breaking wasn’t your fault and that you are perfect in your imperfection.”
