Summary:

Anvil still hit hard and heavy with plenty of power courtesy of their new single 'Ghost Shadow', taken from Impact Is Imminent.

An impact is imminent rings true as Canadian metal monsters Anvil are still going strong as they return with ‘Ghost Shadow’, a brand new speed of sound raging single taken from their nineteenth studio album Impact Is Imminent, definitely worth the wait when it’s released on May 20th 2022 via AFM Records.

They are still going strong, point proven as their steel is permanently forged for four minutes of an absolutely no alternative dose of speed metal. A venomously spat lead vocal from Steve ‘Lips’ Kudlow includes “I’m being followed by something I can’t see. No shape or form, invisibility. Always there but I never know, benign or hostile. Friend or foe”.

His guitar riffs are a force of nature showing that age is only a number as the band were formed in Toronto, Ontario 1978. Drummer Robb Reiner is still hammering his kit pound for pound with a drum cavalcade and finger snapping bass guitar lines from Chris Robertson which in my opinion is their strongest line up.

The album will be available as a CD Digipak and Digital format on May 20th and vinyl on June 24th.

Anvil band line up :-

Steve ‘Lips’ Kudlow – Guitar/Lead Vocals.

Robb Reiner – Drums.

Chris Robertson – Bass Guitar.
