All hail Maxwell Jeffries, the mad professor of metal, releasing ‘Fields Of Fire’, not a cover of the Big Country song but the third from their next upcoming release in 2025.
It’s a moody, broody but also uplifting magnum opus of melodic metal that chugs on a sturdy main riff , bringing to mind the heavier side of Dream Theater which is no bad thing, point proven by the stadium filling choruses. Job done!

Loosely inspired by Warhammer: 40k and how the themes of endless warfare creep evermore into modern life – Fields of Fire is somewhat of a more ‘down to Earth’ track for Underking.
