Toronto, Canada based roots rockers, The Commoners arrive back to the UK to celebrate their upcoming album The Commoners – Live in The UK. The release of the live album coincides with The Commoners’ European and UK tour which kicks off on May 14th. It follows their third studio album Restless, released in 2024 which I had the honour to review.
To my ears, their new single “The Way I Am (Live)” is blues rock of the highest order that majestically rocks and roars for just over three guitar heavy minutes of party starting and finishing prowess with added pizazz from a raunchy lead vocal that reaches stratospheric heights with ease, and nirvana arrives from a fretboard burning midway and outro guitar solos, all wrapped up in three solid gold minutes.”
