The Cadillac Three release new video for ‘Hillbilly’

RELEASE NEW VIDEO FOR
‘HILLBILLY’

FEATURING ELVIE SHANE
AND KETCH SECOR OF OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW:

The Cadillac Three have released a new video for their latest track ‘Hillbilly’, which is the first taste of music from the band in two years and features guest vocals from Elvie Shane and virtuoso fiddling from Ketch Secor (Old Crow Medicine Show).

“‘Hillbilly’ was born the second day on the road. To me, it’s a touch of TC3 roots and a lot of where I come from. It’s a cautionary tale about how easily you can fall into the trap of substance abuse coming from small rural towns like as the one I live in now. I believe it has the right amount of grit and rock’n’roll to reach the intended audience. And I’m so proud to be on a song with a group I’m truly a huge fan of.” says Elvie Shane. “I’ve been a fan of The Cadillac Three since before that was their name. So, when I got the invitation to join them on the road for a weekend of writing, the answer was easy,”

“We’ve been known to have a good time most of the time, so it’s certainly not us trying to tell anyone how to live their life, but it’s a song about knowing where the line is and when you’ve gone too far. Sometimes you can live on the edge a little too long and you need to come back down from the high.” frontman Jaren Johnston explains. “On the surface, ‘Hillbilly’ is a party anthem, but it hits differently than many of our songs because we’re encouraging some introspection with this one,”

ABOUT THE CADILLAC THREE: Leaving a lasting impression on fans across the globe with their distinct sonic tendencies, The Cadillac Three’s genre-fusion tracks are rooted in country storytelling, rock grooves, and Music City homegrown psychedelic jams. You can always count on frontman Jaren Johnston, drummer Neil Mason, and lap steel-ing bassist Kelby Ray to bring the party. TC3’s ‘Country Fuzz’ sound can also be heard throughout Johnston’s accomplished songwriting credits for other artists including Tim McGraw, Thomas Rhett, Keith Urban, and Jon Pardi, as well as Tyler Hubbard’s recent single, ‘5 Foot 9′. As a producer, Johnston has lent his talents to the likes of Kip Moore, Foo Fighters’ Chris Shifflett, and Steven Tyler, among others.

Collectively, TC3’s efforts have earned the trio a number of accolades, including GRAMMY®, ACM, and CMA International Achievement Award nominations, with Johnston even receiving a CMA Triple Play for penning three No. 1 hits in a 12-month period. Known for their unpredictable live show— equally impressive and amped in a sweaty club or festival main stage— TC3 always delivers. The band is currently headlining their BANDANA TOUR and playing alongside Koe Wetzel on select dates. Visit thecadillacthree.com for more info.

ABOUT ELVIE SHANE: A native of small-town Kentucky, early touchstones like Dwight Yoakam, Steve Earle, and John Fogerty joined Wheelhouse Records’ Elvie Shane’s gospel roots to form the bedrock of his taste– along with R&B classics like The Temptations and modern superstars like Eminem. Shane recently released a version of The Rolling Stones’ acclaimed 1968 hit ‘Sympathy for the Devil’ from his forthcoming tribute album, Stoned Cold Country. He has celebrated multiple milestones with his hit single ‘My Boy’ topping the charts at country radio and being certified Platinum by the RIAA. ‘My Boy’ is taken from Shane’s debut, full-length album, Backslider.

Shane co-wrote the set that embodies the crunchy hooks of classic rock, the nostalgia of country music, as well as the emotional electricity of gospel and R&B. Critics, were quick to praise the cohesive set with the album landing on ‘Best Of’ lists including Billboard, Rolling Stone and Nashville Scene. “If you listen to just one major-label debut by a dude this year, consider Elvie Shane’s” declared Rolling Stone, while Stereogum noted the record “forces you to rethink anything you think you know, or assume, about the genre’s Music Row bros.” Billboard also determined Shane is “making the case for a new mainstay in country music.” The singer-songwriter undertook his first-ever headlining run in 2021, with his MY KINDA TROUBLE TOUR marking some of Shane’s first live performances of Backslider.

Shane’s picture-based lyrics and knack for storytelling has led to opening slots on the road with Darius Rucker, Jason Aldean, Toby Keith, Brothers Osborne, Brooks & Dunn, and Lady A, to name a few. For more information visit elvieshane.com.
