ON THE OPEN ROAD ‘Storyteller’, out Friday 26th February 2016

Ascending UK pop punk outfit ‘On The Open Road’ hurl out their eagerly awaited new EP ‘Storyteller’ via all outlets on Friday 26th February. Merging powerful vocal melodies with infectious guitar work, the energetic quartet are set to break in 2016!

Encouraged by a slew of artists, On The Open Road have taken inspiration from legendary punks such as Blink-182 and Sum 41, through to contemporary kings like Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! and A Day To Remember. Nodding to their peers, On The Open Road have distilled the key fundamentals of the genre and have produced their own signature sound that is fiery and edgy, yet altogether accessible and contagious.

Incarnated at the start of 2013 and coming at you from Nottinghamshire, On The Open Road started life as a trio with school friends Tom Hawk on lead vocals and guitar, Dan Abey handling bass, and Ollie Green pounding on the drums. The three piece soon put out their debut EP and it became clear that the band needed another guitarist to really take their sound to the next level. New found friend Jack Dutton stepped up to fill the void on lead guitar. With a formidable live sound and an extra dimension to their music, the band extensively hit the road and started work on their next record.

The foursome’s new EP ‘Storyteller’ is bursting with eight tracks of blistering pop punk, from the colossal beatings and anthemic craft of their new single ‘Rainy Days’, to the insanely catchy ‘Smooth Sailing Is A Fool’s Thought’. The EP serves to underline the band’s growing stature as musicians and songwriters, and loaded with their brand new record, and an ever increasing fan base, 2016 promises to be a gargantuan year for the band.
