Lynchpyn – Drop The Blade 2 track single.

London based Lynchpyn, having only formed  in May 2012 are already looking to be a fine metal band judging by the quality of their new cd single Drop The Blade. An album is being recorded with a possible release in Feb. 2013 which should be one to definitely look out for!

Drop The Blade is already out, can be bought via Fist Full Of Metal Music Ltd and the second track Can You Speak Now can be listened to for free on their facebook page.

Opening track Can You Speak Now crashes in with a drum driven, riff laden intro then takes a curveball into Alice In Chains territory as it slows down allowing a Layne Staley like delivery from vocalist Justin Lloyd as it moves in to a higher gear with  mighty vocal roars over buzzsaw guitar riffs as a tasty wah wah guitar solo slices in at the 3 minute mark and  the song ends with some snapping snare work from drummer Jason Lawrence.

Title track Drop The Blade is a 6 minute epic full of vintage Slayer chugging riffs with the vocals akin to a higher range Lemmy delivery. There are some catchy twin guitar lines weaving in and out of the bombast just to show that it is not always full on metal with Lynchpyn.

All in all a very impressive duo of songs  produced by Lynchpyn guitarist  Robert Furman which bode well for Lynchpyn’s debut album!
