Summary:

Impressive debut acoustic 4 track EP from Absolva rhythm guitarist/Iced Earth bassist Luke Appleton showing off another side to him with a very strong vocal prowess.

Luke Appleton - How Does It Feel To Be AliveSomehow between fulfilling his duties with Absolva and Iced Earth, Luke Appleton has written and recorded a four track EP titled How Does It Feel To Be Alive?, due for release via Rocksector Records on March 3rd 2018. Produced by his brother Chris Appleton at their studio in Manchester it kicks off with the title track ‘How Does It Feel To Be Alive?

It’s a strong opener with a fast picked intro and seemingly very personal lyrics dominated by a huge chorus. Gently strummed chords flow through ‘The Fear Is A Lie’ and once again the knack of writing an intense chorus comes to the fore. ‘Three Eyed Crow’ delivers cryptic but powerful lyrics over breezy rhythms as we come to the final and the most folk rock song here ‘The Sound Of Liberty’. The chords seem to shuffle along towards the most intense chorus on the EP.

Luke will be promoting the EP when he guests in April/May on the up and coming thirty seven date Blaze Bayley tour.
