Recorded at the prestigious Melkweg in Amsterdam and mixed & mastered by the legendary Finnish team of Mikko Karmila & Mika Jussila (Nightwish, Children Of Bodom, etc.), ‘Natten Med De Levande…’ is Finntroll’s first live album, showing this hugely influential outfit where they function best – onstage and in the raw.
Featuring 19 rabble-rousin’ anthems, including the ultimate camp-fire call-to-arms that is ‘Trollhammaren’ (a Top 5 Finnish single/ video from 2004), ‘Natten Med De Levande…’ perfectly showcases Finntroll’s unholy hybrid style: traditional Finnish music (‘humppa’) mixed with full-tilt heavy, folk & black metal, plus a lyrical stance rooted in tradition, myth and the way of the Troll!
It’s a ‘hoedown from hell’ approach that has seen the Finns topping the bill at major festivals and notching up a series of internationally successful studio albums & EPs, stretching back to late ’90s.
