Felix Hagan & The Family’s new single ‘Kiss The Misfits’?

‘Kiss The Misfits’, is a glittery howl of amazement, blending hard rock, dance, country and pop into a giant sparkling musical monster that brings to mind the varied likes of Scissor Sisters, Queen and My Life Story.  It is a battle-cry to the bored masses to wrench themselves from the mundane world of work and hurl their souls into Felix Hagan & The Family’s sparkly world of theatrical rock – a plea to reject the bounds of normal life and embrace the madness and magic that swirls at the edges of society.

The EP is a declaration of intent from Felix and his band’s on-going mission to cram British pop music with the exuberance and majesty of grandiose, flamboyant rock’n’roll. Featuring Felix’s sharp lyricism, the songs deal with typically dark subjects – depression, addiction, the loss of young dreams and the torpor of everyday life – but set them on fire in a joyous explosion of spectacle.

The band came into being two years ago in the heart of Liverpool’s burgeoning musical scene. They moved to London and honed their brand of theatre-pop over hundreds of gigs around the country, winning great acclaim for their insane live shows, consummate musical skill and total dedication to the audience.

After seeing them live, the band was invited to play a high profile support with folk-punk legend Frank Turner. “Within about 30 seconds of them taking the stage, I was sold, a total convert, a newly-signed-up member of the cult.” Check these out millsriversdaschool .

The slot opened new doors for the band and summer 2015 saw them perform at prestigious events such as Manchester Pride, Kendal Calling, 2000 Trees festival and Wilderness Festival winning fans across the country. With more of their hair-raisingly entertaining live shows to be announced shortly, it’s time to get the dancing shoes ready – the punks are waiting…
