Electronic collective Animal Music have revealed the explosive video for their debut single ‘I’ve Got You’ out now on MUK Records.

Taking us on tour with Animal Music, ‘I’ve Got You’ delivers a powerful taste of their intense and formidable live show. Hard-hitting mosh pits collide with blitzkrieg drum & bass in a cathartic display of the band’s imposing sound, marrying The Prodigy mentality with Modestep beats.

Singer Tom Sutcliffe explains, “’I’ve Got You’ is about a walking around an empty town in late November at 3am, heartbroken, but mentally searching for that one person to share in the grief and burn out with when the morning strikes. The story of Orpheus and the Underworld provides a loose backdrop and parallels for the whole tale.”

‘I’ve Got You’ is the band’s first official single, following their free download ‘We Stay Vacant’ earlier this year, which received huge praise. The band clocked up massive achievements becoming the highest new entry on the MW Club Chart that week (No.13), No. 3 on the Hype Machine Twitter Chart and a highest new entry at No.19 on the Cool Cuts Chart.

The band have already clocked up support at Radio 1, 1Xtra and Radio X and played to a sold-out Brixton Academy as part of the Jägermeister tour. Signed to MUK Records and Sony-ATV Publishing, Animal Music also have a sponsorship deal with Jägermeister.

Animal Music (“Music for humans, who are really just animals, music that hopefully has a primal reach inside it.”) were formed after singer Pete Pocket met electronics whizz Penny For The DJ at a warehouse party. Going on to work together at pirate radio, they were quickly doing club tours of Europe as a DJ/MC operation, sliding their own tunes into their DJ sets. Realising a band was the way forward for them, Animal Music came to life after Pete and Penny hooked up with vocalist Tom Sutcliffe, and drummer Andy McKenzie.

Animal Music are about beats, riffs and songs with a message – something that their debut album will have in abundance when it’s released in Spring 2016, with live shows to be announced shortly.

“We’ve been forging our sound in the studio and playing shows endlessly for the last two years.” says Pete. “It’s like we’ve stolen a plane and been flying on fumes. Now we need to fill the tank. Obviously it will be incredible to go and play the four corners of the planet, taking the music to everyone so they can see and hear it for themselves.”
