Doomed, pre-Bloodstock festival interview

Doomed are set to dominate the New Blood Stage on Saturday 11th at this year’s Bloodstock!

We catch up with Mraz to find out more about them, what their are about the festival and what you lucky Bloodstock go-er’s can expect from them!

Can you give the readers a quick introduction to the band?

I’ m Mraz the founder, vocalist and guitarist of Doomed. We have Uroš on guitar, Žiga on drums and Miha on bass. We play death metal mixed with our other musical influences and that’s how we have created our own style.

Death Metal was always my favourite genre of music and I decided to form a band of my own to praise the old school death metal legends but, before this was realized I joined a black metal band which took most of my time so I had to delay the plans and then finally in 2010 I formed Doomed, wrote the songs and we’ve recorded our EP, the rest is history.

Have you ever been to Bloodstock before? If so when and what did you enjoy most about it?

Sadly no, this is our first time.

Why did you want to become part of the New Blood Stage line up?

We just wanted to get a wider audience. And bloodstock is a great chance for that!

What was your initial reaction when you found out you where playing on the New Blood Stage?

When we got asked if we want to play there, we were really happy that our hard work of the last two years has finally paid off! We have worked our asses of and dedicated a lot of our time to the band. And of course it is a big thing to play in the UK when you are a band from a small country like Slovenia

What is your opinion of the Bloodstock lineup?

It is a killer line-up, I already have a list of bands I want to watch, it is a huge list and I will probably die by the time the festival is over!

What are you looking forward to most at Bloodstock?

Playing in front of a crowd that has never seen us play live and are willing to give us a chance to prove ourselves to them.

What can the audience expect from you at the festival?

Nothing less than our best performance!

Can you sum up Bloodstock in one sentence?

There will be blood!

Any message you wish to pass on to the PM readers?

Support music and bands you like in every way, shape or form!

Thank you for taking the time out to complete this interview, we’re looking forward to seeing you at Bloodstock \m/
