Summary:

It's great to see these long since out of production releases getting remastered and reissued, and we ca expect to see more Dio live releases being given the same treatment later in the year

Evil or Divine: Live in New York City was recorded in 2002 and released on DVD the following year and on CD a further two years on. As with the other live release being reissued (Holy Diver Live) this month the album has been remastered and sounds great.

The setlists on the two reissues are very different which means that there’s almost no overlap and that’s good news for anyone thinking of buying both releases. Both feature plenty of fantastic songs, so I’d certainly recommend that Dio fans buy both (I have).

The sound quality is excellent with everything nice and clear and with plenty of power – there’s no sense that this was recorded almost 20 years ago.

It’s great to see these long since out of production releases getting remastered and reissued, and we ca expect to see more Dio live releases being given the same treatment later in the year.
