Summary:

This really is a great album, and I look forward to seeing her play live

British Blues-rock guitarist Chantel McGregor released her debut album in 2011, and since then has been busy touring.  Last year she started work on her second album, and it will be released on 9th October this year.  Although she’s normally described as a Blues or Blues-Rock guitarist, this new album from Chantel McGregor is more of a rock album.

The album kicks off with “Take the power” and “Your fever”, a pair of great hard rock songs that get the album off to a great start

“Anaesthetize” is a softer more emotional song and really is excellent.

“Killing time” is one of the heavier tracks here with heavy rock guitar riffs dominating the sound

“Eternal dream” is a track that is a tribute to the late Jeff Buckley.   It’s a slow softer song and is an absolutely beautiful song and a worthy tribute.

The album is full of great guitar work, but Chantel McGregor isn’t just a guitar player – she does the vocals too and they are equally impressive.  She’s got a great voice and the variety of songs on the album allows her to demonstrate a range of styles vocally.  It really is a great album, and I look forward to seeing her play live at one of the dates on her UK tour (see below for dates).

“Lose control” will be released on 9th October 2015

3. Burn your anger
