Awaken Eternity-Peitho-Single Review-Planetmosh

Awaken Eternity,a new band to me, hailing from Birmingham. They’ve been on a hiatus for a couple of years, but have returned, firing on all cylinders with their comeback single ‘Peitho’, a stunning example of progressive/alt metal. After one play of the single, it certainly gave my old 62yr old ears a good clear out right from the headphone smashing intro of deceivingly serene vibes and Godzilla stomped grooves! Vocals switch from almost angelic to a lungbusting tirade. Strangely enough, all this angst brought to mind early Pitchshifter and Earthtone 9, which is no bad thing, as this monolith song closes on a devastating barrage of hate.
