Summary:

Chester based Fish Night batter us senseless with their debut single Obsidian Black.

It’s always sad when bands split up, but even better when the winner crosses the finish line first, so lets welcome Chester based and formed Fish Night due to their love of psychedelic rock, noisy bastards, who thrash, crash and bash their debut single, the truly demented, Obsidian Black, channeling the idiosyncrasy of Sparks and Focus, adding their own twist to it!

It took a few plays to get into what they’re doing as earworms flew around my headphones like a hive of angry bees for a gritty crossover of full on metal and their self proclaimed unique brand of psych-rock!

Definitely a band to look out for and I can’t wait to hear more eccentricities from them!

‘Brought in with the tide in 2025, FISH NIGHT are intent on subverting musical expectations with a unique brand of psych-rock. Heavy riffs, catchy hooks, the occasional spicy time signature, otherworldly synths and trippy outros full of suspense which aim to captivate the listener, reel them in and keep them guessing.’
