Summary:

Tantrum will be having the lightest of times, definitely not the darkest with the release of new single 'The Darkest Of Times'.

A huge welcome back to Glasgow based metallers Tantrum, returning with ‘The Darkest Of Times’, a brand new single. Formed in 2014, released their Rough Cuts EP in 2016, debut album Melt It Down in 2018 and second album Another Life on July 28th 2023.

‘The Darkest Of Times’ is an absolute monster! A call to arms like intro of spine tingling twin guitar ovrload, snappy snare drum prowess lights the fuse for some of the most insane power metal I’ve heard for some time. There’s no pause for breath as this anthem in the making is a certified pit opener when volleyed out to test the metal mettle of any P.A system. Midway it gets even more insane when they lock in for some heads down twin lead metal madness, pinned down by a watertight rhythm section and when it shudders to a halt, the silence is deafening!

The band proclaim they are “A Glasgow based old school metal band with a modern slant, combining classic guitar driven riffs, driving rhythms with strong lyrical themes and strong vocal harmonies”.

Tantrum band personnel :-

Mark Reid – Lead Vocals.

Baz Fitzsimmons – Guitar.

Micah Snow – Guitar.

Chris Horne – Bass Guitar.

Mark Riches – Drums.

And finally, I’d like to dedicate this review to the hard working metal queen, Evelyn Barr!

Tantrum will be having the lightest of times, definitely not the darkest with the release of new single 'The Darkest Of Times'.
