Yardbirds Rock Club’s edition of Metal 2 The Masses
First up was Aeonia, a Worksop based band.
Obviously been around some time playing mythology based songs, The female fronted band play very well and the high notes sung strongly and accurately.
Look out for Aeonia on the circuit.
Next up came Soulsphere with big familiar riffs and dominating tribal drums. Sounds like a mashup of System of a Down, Death Metal. Worth a listen if screamo does it for you.
Four:worn hits the stage delivering a complete unified wall of music. Our singer in this instance was diminutive in stature with the voice of a giant, very impressive. Four:worn plays structured and well composed songs sounding a little like Suicide Silence.
Could reach out in the industry.
Final band of the evening is Begotten Son and what an entrance they make. Brutal, original guitar play, excellent tempo switches, smooth interludes and original heavy riffage. Could potentially go all the way.Â
