Summary:

This is definitely the best yet from Winter in Eden. Hopefully the Within Temptation connection means Within Temptation fans will give Winter in Eden a listen - they deserve to get a lot bigger than they are now.

Winter in Eden - Court of ConscienceWinter in Eden are a symphonic metal band from the North East of England.  The band has released two very good albums in the last few years, and are now ready to release their third album.  For the new album the band have pulled out all the stops – they travelled to the Netherlands to record it and it’s been produced by Ruud Jolie (Within Temptation) and mixed by Stefan Helleblad (Within Temptation).  The album also features guest vocals by Damian Wilson (Threshold, Headspace, Maiden uniteD) and Jermain van der Bogt (For All We Know, Ayreon).

The first single to be released from the album is “With Intent” and you can watch the video below.

I’ve long been a fan of Winter in Eden – Vicky has a beautiful voice, and the band’s albums have both been very good.  With this new album things do sound even better than before.  The symphonic elements are rich and sound superb, the instruments are all clear and perfectly mixed and the vocals sound great.  The album does feel slightly more diverse than previous albums too.

This is definitely the best yet from Winter in Eden.  Hopefully the Within Temptation connection means Within Temptation fans will give Winter in Eden a listen – they deserve to get a lot bigger than they are now.
