Summary:

Once again, The Milk Men churn up a song to keep us smiling through troubled times, courtesy of their latest single 'Misty Road'.

The Milk Men shake, rattle and roll over Beethoven with their new single ‘Misty Road’, fourth single taken from their latest studio album Holy Cow, released in the summer of 2024. They’re also currently celebrating their recent success of their performance at the Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival in Colne.

Lead singer Jamie Smy adds, “It’s a song about the difficulties of life without the comfort of religion and how you can draw comfort and guidance from the memory of people no longer with you”.

Guitarist Adam Norsworthy says, “Lloyd’s bass and Mike’s drums really drive the song along over the guitar riff. Once those elements locked together, and we added the harmony vocal, we knew we had something exciting, and a bit different for us. I’m a huge Lindsey Buckingham fan, so there’s a little nod to him in the guitar solo.”

My thoughts on the song is that it’s a good old fashioned tub thumper that drives along on seismic bass blustre, guitar lines that will stay in your head for days and a silky smooth lead vocal that could melt the coldest heart. Miraculously, they fit this all in only three sumptuous minutes!
