Summary:

The Takeaway Thieves steal your soul, courtesy of 'Gypsy', their second single taken from Diamond Point, their second album, due for release on October 11th 2024 on Coffee 'N' Mint Records.

Hot on the heels of ‘Kickin My Heart Around’, the first single taken from ‘Diamond Point’, the second album from Takeaway Thieves. The Blackpool terrors waste no time in keeping ahead of the pack with the second single ‘Gypsy’, taken from the album due for release on October 11th, 2024 via Coffee’N’Mint Records.

They say that ‘Gypsy’ has a passionate, bluesy feel. This groove laden song is about life on the road, but also relates to everyone’s journey in life. Lead vocalist Peter McLoughlin adds,”The song ‘Gypsy’ represents autobiographical aspects of my life.”

I got this song and what it’s trying to do after only one listen as riffs, big fat Lego size block riffs make you fall head over heels in love as it’s definitely one of their heavier songs to mangle your brain, making it a bonafide speaker rattler. The bite from lead vocalist Peter Mc Loughlin adds to the energy unleashed, surely putting the recording levels in red. The rhythm section is bombastic, pinning the song down and nirvana is reached midway when lead guitarist Ben Gibson shows off his guitar prowess, so headbanging is compulsory when he lets rip!
