Lord Of The Vile, taken from current studio album The Electric Abyss sees Scottish crushers Dog Tired pummel on a metronomic pound. They, unfortunately, slipped past my radar since I last saw them tear through their set at Wildfire Festival in 2015 but it’s great to hear that they are still raging hard.
After an eerie futuristic intro, all hell breaks loose as they rip into a two-minute bestial bludgeon of churning grooves until the caustic lead vocals take it to another level. This lunacy is pinned down by snappy snare work, punchy kick drumming and the last minute is truly suffocating. These six minutes are so evil, they could be classed as six hundred and sixty-six!
