Summary:

"The songs just pour from this album like liquid rock! This particular song has more hip grinding moves than a sexed up rhino!"

.

Right from the off your bombarded with a hard hitting, gritty rock sound. With a heavy bass rhythm section leading the way, the guitar riffs just keep flowing from the many songs on the CD. This self-released album is the next stage in the anthology of Crowsaw’s footprint on the British rock scene!

The first two songs on the album ‘Skin And Bones ‘ and ‘Money ‘ are both well worth the listen, but for me track three ‘Smoke and feathers , now this track is on a completely different level of excellence! A real toe tapper with a more blues orientated sexy tone kicks this one off. The pace builds up a little and delivers a brilliantly cool riff filled song. A little touch of an AC/DC ghost perhaps I feel can be heard in the lead guitar. Although fair play and respect to Rob Lomax ( lead guitar and singer ), his individual style puts a firm Crowsaw stamp on this self written song. It’s got to be an attribute which will only help to make it a sure winner, and I personally think would make a great single too!  ‘Let Me know‘ yet another top track! The songs just pour from this album like liquid rock! This particular song has more hip grinding moves than a sexed up rhino! You can lose yourself in the lead guitar’s ( as quoted from their Facebook page ) ” fluid guitar pyrotechnics“, accompanied by, what I can only describe as some real earthy cat’s pajamas of a drum beat!

Now as for ‘Voodoo Temptation‘. If your a bit of a fan of Jimi Hendrix, as I am, you’ll love this song as it encapsulates and complements the best bits of the late rock god’s teachings. Heavy on the reverb riffs, a drum beat that would push back the sea, and the copious deep basie blues backing resonance. I can’t fault it, it has all the ingredients of a culinary masterpiece. If you don’t feel it with this song then you’d better leave the building!

Five more song follow to complete the album. ‘Bitch Blues‘ has some really difficult bass and drum lines, while ‘Dog Of Nine‘ twists and turns with heavy riff action from Rob.  Over all a pretty fair album worthy of gracing any collection. It’s also nice to see how the guys have developed over the last few years and are now starting to build a loyal fan base. Just a lot of hard work, sweat, tears and a determination to succeed is what it takes to break out and get noticed. Rob, Elvin and Glyn have now broken down that steel door with this new album, lets hope the future brings more success and more great rock music!
