Summary:

This release was definitely worth the wait and it has left this reviewer hungry to hear more.

Dear recipient, you are cordially invited to an experience brought to you by 5 hallions from Northern Ireland known as the “House On Haunted Hill.” Enter if you dare, you have been warned!

This 3 track EP from Northern Irish Metal band, Conjuring Fate has been a long awaited piece of material. The year leading up to its release has been a hard one for the lads, primarily due to numerous line up changes, but when all hope seemed lost the lads said “no!” and pulled together a solid lineup to take their listeners (and this reviewer) into their spooky location.

The listener is immediately greeted by the title track, in the form of a musicial invitation full of powerful guitar riffs from founding member Phil Horner, and Karl Gibson who recently joined the band. The musical connection between the two is very apparent within the track, complimented greatly by the accompaniment of Steve Leager on bass guitar and Bogdan Walczak on drums, two members who are also rather new to the band.

“Mirror, Mirror” is the second track of the EP. Personally, I felt some fine tuning was needed on the chorus, however this track is definitely a tune that will leave the listener chanting along. You may even want to hit lead vocalist Tommy Daly’s high notes, but avoid any near by glass.

Drawing to the end of our frightening tour, the lads finished with the track, “Backwoods Witch.” In this track the listener is greeted with a special guest appearance from Stormzone’s lead guitarist, Steve Moore, who joins the band’s two guitarists in a collection of blistering solos.

Whilst I felt that some fine tuning could have been done on the recording and mixing side of this release, it is a well composed and solid piece of work. This release was definitely worth the wait and it has left this reviewer hungry to hear more.
