<itunes:summary>Since it’s Axl Rose’s 50th birthday this weekend, this week’s Spotlight is shone on the mighty Guns N’ Roses. Back when they actually WERE mighty, that is. As for the rest? Loads of brand new stuff, including Epica, Axel Rudi Pell, Jack Blades and a little something from a new supergroup including former members of Black Sabbath and Pantera, namely Kill Devil Hill. Since they’ve got some European dates coming up with Freedom Call, you’ll also hear an interview I did with Steve and Paul from Power Quest on the night they unveiled Colin Callanan as their new vocalist. You can either listen to the show from right here, or you could come over to http://www.wyrdwaysrs.com and click the download link or just stream it direct from the site.

<itunes:summary>Nice varied show this week. Some Proper Heavy Metal, a splash of Classic Rock, some Power Metal and a fair old slab of Doom. Not only that, there’s a new track from Metallica’s new Beyond Magnetic release (an apology for Lulu, mayhap?) and this weeks the Spotlight falls on a band that want to play at Bloodstock this year, and really do deserve the chance: Bastard Son Of Toranaga. If you want to help that to happen, give the show a listen. You can find it all either right here or at http://www.wyrdwaysrs.com

<itunes:summary>Welcome to the 175th Wyrd Ways Rock Show! You’ll be glad to hear there is going to be one mention of the word “Christmas” this week.
What about the music, then?
There’s some bits and pieces including new stuff from Pythia, Orange Goblin, Ministry (sort of!), Lamb Of God, Eisregen and a bit of Hellfighter. Got another Spotlight for you this week, too. They’re a band I’ve seen three times so far this year. At the SOS Festival back in July, then putting in a truly awesome set on the Sophie Lancaster Stage at Bloodstock, and finally a couple of weeks ago at The Snooty Fox in Wakefield. They are, of course, the mighty Evil Scarecrow! It’s all there for you right here (take a look below this message) and at http://www.wyrdwaysrs.com

<itunes:summary>As everybody comes home from Hard Rock Hell for another year, at The Wyrd Ways Rock Show, we take a look back at ANOTHER one I didn’t end up going to! Got the accreditation too late to sort anything out for HRH III, couldn’t get there for HRH IV because of the snow, and for this year, I was ill (only really recovering now). Ah well. Maybe next year. Anyway, this week’s show features the bands I’d've been trying to see over the weekend, so for some of you, this will be a nice aural souvenir of the festival. Come and download it from here or http://www.wyrdwaysrs.com.

On the show this time around, we have chat with the guitarist for a brilliant British funky hard rock band & the first ever Undisputed WWE Champion in history, who’s ripping up the road with his band right now. It’s all in edition #102 so get ready to get stuck in!
Our guest in the first hour of #102 is DAVE BOWN of Rhode Island Red telling us all about the band, how they got started, the music & what’s to come. The second hour brings us a two part chat with the man known as CHRIS JERICHO (aka Chris Irvine), who is the frontman for the band FOZZY; those guys have just triumphed on another European tour, & more importantly on stage at Sonisphere in the UK! We get into everything showbiz with Y2J, who has a great philosphy on the entertainment industry, as well as a definite plan for his down-time.
But not only is there that stunning chat, but we have the biggest selection of new music on any rock & metal show anywhere in the world!
The playlist has new tunes from HORNET, BYFROST, LYKARA, ECHOES OF THE DEAD, BADMOUTH, future guests on the show NITROVILLE, RANDOM EYES, our special guests & many others. Then there’s LiveWire, which is by BON JOVI, Rock Chicks Rock features HEART, & our cover play is an IRON MAIDEN classic reworked by FOZZY. Your hot aural pleasure awaits; it’s not just A show, it’s THE show!</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Double dose of sad news this week. Not only did the last few days see the passing of Würzel, former Motörhead guitarist, but it also saw Lenny Robinson call time on one of my favourite bands, the mighty Asomvel. It seems that Lenny doesn’t feel right without Jay on stage.
Sad.
This week, then, could well be the last Asomvel Time. This week’s show also puts the focus on Manchester’s SOS Festival with a huge slab of music from bands that played there over this last weekend. Talking of focussing, this week’s Spotlight is on one of my new favourite bands, Stuka Squadron. It’s all there for you at http://www.wyrdwaysrs.com</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>We venture to parts unknown during edition #101 of The Rock Show, as ‘Big’ Jim was granted an audience with an inter-stellar warlord & miraculously lived to tell the tale. Plus there’s chat with the lead vocalist of a Michigan-based band with big things on the horizon.
In the first hour of the show we have NICK WILLIAMS of 6 Prong Paw on the phones, telling us about the band & its origins, evolution & plans for the near future. Then we get into totally uncharted territory in the second hour, as we are truly graced by the presence of ODERUS URUNGUS, the de facto leader of the band GWAR, who have been rampaging across Europe recently. Be warned; don’t play this edition of The Rock Show near Grandma, as just the sound of one syllable from Oderus’ mouth may render her deader than a racoon jammed in the front grille of a truck. Suffice to say that Oderus is extremely outspoken on many subjects, but mostly about us humans. It has to be heard to be truly believed!
Right, so there’s all that plus a wedge of brand new music from the likes of DOMINANZ, VOODOO HIGHWAY, HARD & others. LiveWire is by AEROSMITH, Rock Chicks Rock features TRIAXIS, the Erection Section selection is by NIGHT RANGER & our cover play is a DAVID BOWIE standard given the HELLOWEEN treatment. Reckon YOU can handle this?</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>On the 100th edition of The Rock Show we have a legend in his own mind from a little town called South Park, & a bonafide musical legend of 40-years standing, who’s been there, done it, burned it down & pee’d on it! Plus we welcome an old friend back to the show for a one-shot appearance.
‘Big’ Jim is joined on the phones our guests in this edition. First up is actor & TV mayhem-maker TREY PARKER who is in-character for an interesting chat, to say the least. Then it’s our main & extra-special guest; the truly incredible OZZY OSBOURNE is in conversation & we get into topics such as touring, creating albums, Randy Rhoads & much more besides in a great chat. Thanks to all those who have helped make this edition very special indeed!
So there’s all that alongside brand new music, classic tracks & we herald the return of Rockbabe Recommends!
If you missed the original broadcast ( shame on you) here is another chance to listen in.
Enjoy.
